Executive app

Year: 2019
Client: Audi
Role: UX Strategist, UX Designer
Challenge: The challenge was to design a robust and intuitive app for executives, enabling them to access critical business insights and performance metrics at a glance. The app needed to cater to high-level decision-makers, providing a seamless user experience while integrating with complex backend systems and ensuring data security.

Situation:

A global corporation sought to empower its executives with a mobile app that provided real-time access to business performance metrics, dashboards, and strategic reports. The goal was to enable informed decision-making on the go, with a clean interface that minimized distractions and offered powerful functionality. The existing solution was fragmented, unintuitive, and poorly adopted by users. The new app needed to overcome these challenges and deliver a tool executives would trust and rely on.

Task:

As the Senior UX Designer, I was tasked with:
Strategy: Defining the app’s core purpose, aligning with executive workflows, and ensuring it addressed their key pain points.
UX Design: Crafting a user-friendly, visually compelling interface optimized for quick access to critical data and insights.
Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders, engineers, and business analysts to ensure the design was feasible, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Action:

Strategy:
Conducted stakeholder interviews and user research with executives to identify their needs, behaviors, and expectations.
Mapped out key use cases, such as accessing performance metrics, tracking KPIs, and reviewing high-level reports, to guide the app’s functionality.
Defined a design strategy focused on simplicity, accessibility, and actionable insights, ensuring the app delivered maximum value with minimal effort.
UX Design:
Designed intuitive user flows that prioritized frequently accessed features like dashboards, alerts, and drill-downs into performance data.
Developed wireframes and prototypes with a focus on clarity, leveraging clean layouts and data visualization techniques to simplify complex information.
Integrated adaptive design principles to ensure seamless usability across devices, including smartphones and tablets.
Addressed user concerns about security by designing clear, accessible authentication flows.

Result:

The app launch was highly successful, achieving a 70% adoption rate among executives within the first six months, compared to 25% for the previous solution.
User feedback highlighted the app’s clarity and ease of use, with a 90% satisfaction rate reported in post-launch surveys.
Executives reported significant time savings when accessing critical insights, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
The project became a benchmark for internal digital tools and set the standard for future corporate app development initiatives.
